For many years I worked passionately as a chef. Eventually I decided to leave the culinary life behind and immerse myself in the world of sanitary ware. I now design creative, luxurious bathrooms and sanitary facilities that push the boundaries of functionality and style.
In sports I was always an all-rounder. From football and kickboxing to taekwondo, tennis, running and cycling – I couldn’t choose, because I liked everything equally. For example, I ran the Limbracross and completed several half marathons. On the bike I enjoyed tours such as Diekirch-Valkenswaard and Mendig-Budel, but also challenging rides in the high mountains, such as La Marmotte in the Alps and the Dolomites Marathon, were real favorites.
The idea of organizing cycling holidays came while making a video for a spinning class, in which I included the climbs of the Alpe d'Huez and the Col d'Ornon. From that moment on, the desire grew to let others have unforgettable experiences.

After secondary school, I started working as a men's hairdresser and ran my own hair salon for no less than 40 years. I have recently started enjoying my retirement, although sitting still is not for me.
On the advice of my orthopedist, I started cycling intensively because of a worn-out knee. What started 30 years ago with a mountain bike and later a racing bike, grew into a true passion for gravel biking.
My gravel bike is now my favorite, and I love cycling in the mountains. The Pyrenees, French Alps, Switzerland, Austria and Northern Italy are among my favorite areas.
With more than 20 years of experience with Haro Cycling Tours, I have built up an extensive knowledge of the famous cols in these regions. Cycling through challenging landscapes gives me energy and remains a great challenge!

Cycling has been an important part of my life since I was 18. What started as an adventure on a racing bike has grown over the years into a true passion for the sport.
Over the past ten years I have increasingly focused on mountain biking and I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of rugged trails and off-road adventures.
My love of adventure has taken me all over the world with my bike. From unforgettable routes in Asia (Taiwan, South Korea, China and Singapore) to challenging rides in Europe, and even an epic coast-to-coast ride across the United States.
For me, cycling is not just about riding – I am also someone who likes to tinker with my own bike and those of others. It is always great to see how happy people are with a well-maintained bike.
For me, cycling is much more than a hobby – it is a lifestyle that inspires me every day.
