Dolomites

The cycling trip got off to a great start: all participants not only arrived on time on the first day, but even earlier than expected. That enthusiasm and motivation remained noticeable throughout the week.

On the very first day, the weather revealed its unpredictable side. Not everyone managed to return before the rain—and even a brief hail shower—set in. Nevertheless, spirits remained high. Interestingly, rain was forecasted for late afternoon almost every day, yet we always returned just in time. It gave the stages a touch of suspense, but also a rewarding sense of relief.

Each cycling day concluded with a delicious meal, thoughtfully prepared by the organizers. During dinner, the day’s experiences were shared: the beautiful routes, the small challenges along the way, and the memorable highlights. These evenings reinforced the sense of togetherness and added great value to the trip.

A new feature this year was the presentation of the yellow jersey. Each day, one participant was awarded this honor for a special achievement or noteworthy moment. The jersey was worn proudly the following day—even if the warm, woolen fabric was quite a challenge in summer temperatures. This playful, sporty element gave the cycling trip extra character and is certainly worth repeating.

Conclusion

Thanks to the combination of enthusiastic participants, sporting achievements, unique traditions, and a wonderful sense of camaraderie, this cycling trip was a resounding success. Despite the variable weather, we look back on an experience full of energy, connection, and joy.
